As we inch closer to the launch of the OnePlus 8 series, slated to be announced on April 14, we are starting to learn more about the devices. Last week, we saw some of the key specifications for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, with in-depth camera specifications for the OnePlus 8 Pro and leaked official renders for the regular OnePlus 8. Today, we have new leaks from the famous tipster Ishan Agarwal (and 91mobiles), which suggest that the company is also planning to launch its first pair of truly wireless earbuds, dubbed OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z. Additionally, the tipster suggests that the company will also introduce the OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger at the OnePlus 8 series launch. Here’s what we know.
Although we are learning about the launch of OnePlus’ new TWS earphones now, the company already put out hints for the same with a tweet a few days back. It did not, however, specify anything related to the specifications or the features of its upcoming earphones. Moreover, at the point, we do not have an insight into the product, nor do we have renders or first look teasers for the same.
But, as we recently saw with some of the TWS earphones, we can expect the Bullets Wireless Z to come with Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and include the noise-cancellation feature, which is something we are beginning to see adopted on various earphones. Moreover, considering the company’s current earphone offering, the Bullets Wireless 2, it is safe to assume that the upcoming TWS earbuds could come with a case that charges over USB Type-C. Talking about the announcement date, Agarwal says that the Bullets Wireless Z is scheduled to launch very soon. However, as of now, we do not have an exact date for the announcement.
Besides, as already mentioned, the tipster also suggests that OnePlus is planning to introduce the Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger alongside the OnePlus 8 series at the launch. And, as we recently learned, the OnePlus 8 Pro, might come with support for 30W fast charging.
The OnePlus 8 is expected to come with a 6.55-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while its elder sibling, the OnePlus 8 Pro is said to feature a slightly bigger 6.78-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Talking about performance, both devices are expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC (with 5G connectivity), with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Besides, the regular model could come with a 4300mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T support, while the Pro might have a bigger 4510mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T fast charging, 30W wireless charging support, and 3W reverse wireless charging. For optics, the OnePlus 8 is expected to sport a triple camera setup with 48MP + 16MP + 2MP configuration, whereas, the Pro model is suggested to come with quad cameras in the 48MP + 48MP + 8MP + 5MP setup.
